We started this work by listening to some podcasts (Tumble Podcast, Wow In the World) and identified elements of a good podcast. After this, students identified the elements they would like to include in the podcast that summed up the learning done over the previous weeks.
Students met in groups to plan for writing, using a concept web. The initial concept web led to a rough draft, which was shared with fellow grade three students who provided feedback, which was improved upon to create a final draft.
